Minnesota Wedding

June 4th, 2006 (10:25 pm)

current mood: happy

Back from the wedding. I had such a wonderful time. In addition to seeing my step-brothers and all of my extended step-family, my aunt, uncle and grandpa made the trip from Ely for the celebration. I was surprisingly giddy at the chance to see everyone again. I'll have some thoughts on the trip late, but for now, wedding photos.

As always, you can click over to the photo album by clicking any of these photos.

Like the bridal can-can! Very swishy!

It looks like a very lovely ceremony, and confirms in my mind that when and if I get married, I'm not telling anyone until after it's over. WAAAAAY too much trouble.

You've made a wise decision there. I learned that one the hard way.

First Wedding (to the Demon Queen): Expensive, held in a big church, too many people at the reception eating and drinking all the stuff I had to pay for, had to rest up for 3 days before leaving on the honeymoon. Marriage lasted 2.5 years.

Second Wedding (to my Sweet Angel): Ran off to Reno and got married. Ate at casino buffet, gambled, won $50.00, no honeymoon. Marriage has lasted almost 10 years so far.

Yep, I agree. First marriage: small but expensive wedding, lots of stress, lots of expense, lots of people who kept saying what I "should" have done. Lasted 3 years. Second marriage: Female judge married us at the court house, then we went for burgers, beer, and cake with friends. On our second year, but so very much in love, and with a very, very beautiful newborn daughter. :)
